NBC: President Obama Didn’t Know About Clinton’s Private E-mail Server

‘President Obama’s defending his former secretary of state saying while she made a mistake there is no evidence her private e-mail system was used to hide something or scroll away information’

ALEXANDER: "Good morning to you from Vegas. All the Democrats except of course for Joe Biden here tomorrow night. Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton going to put chips on the table. But Biden may be taking a gamble by not showing up at all. This morning President Obama is defending his former secretary of state saying while she made a mistake, there is no evidence that her private e-mail system was used to hide something, or scroll away information."

KROFT: “Did you know about Hillary Clinton's use of private email server—“

OBAMA: “No.”

KROFT: “--while she was Secretary of State?”

 OBAMA: “No.”

ALEXANDER (voice-over): "Saying that it's been ginned-up for a political game. His former secretary of state should adhere herself to a higher standard."

OBAMA: "It is important for her to answer these questions to the satisfaction of the American public. And they can make their own judgment. I can tell you that this is not a situation in which America's national security was endangered."

CLINTON: "I did not email any--"

ALEXANDER (voice-over): "Still, the Republican Party isn’t letting off."
