DEESE: "Look, there’s no question we’re continuing to deal with very globally uncertain and unique economic times right now. And that’s the reality of where we are. But I also think that this jobs report and the strength and the resilience we’re seeing in our labor market should also give the American people confidence that we are uniquely well positioned, the United States is uniquely well positioned as a country to be resilient through this transition and bring prices down without having to give up all these extraordinary economic gains. And so, that I think is one of the take-aways from today’s report, and should reinforce for policymakers the urgency and the opportunity here to take steps that would actually help to move us in that direction."
