Sanders: ‘There Are More than a Few Republicans for Bernie Sanders Out There’

Brzezinski: ‘I think that Joe’s feeling the Bern, senator’

BRZEZINSKI: "I think that Joe's feeling the Bern, senator. That's just -- my opinion, I'm --" [crosstalk]
SCARBOROUGH: "I'm pretty good--I'm pretty good [indecipherable]"
BRZEZINSKI: "I'm -- I think he's feeling it. So, let me ask you this --"
SANDERS: "By the way, Joe, let -- I'm sorry to interrupt you"
BRZEZINSKI: "Yeah, please."
SANDERS: "You'd be surprised, there are more than -- a few Republicans for Bernie Sanders out there. Don't be surprised if we do well with a number of Republicans."
SCARBOROUGH: "You know, I -- I won't be surprised. You know, we've heard people say why you can't win from the very beginning, and it was interesting. I'm starting to hear people talk and I saw a focus group that Halperin and Heilemann had for Bloomberg. I said this is starting to remind me of what I heard Republicans, my fellow Republicans tell me when I went to Des Moines in late 2007, when they said are then you going to vote for this Obama guy. And, you know, talk about, if you will, because we've had these talks with Elizabeth Warren, about how there is a lot of cross over. Whether it's some Republicans distrust of trade deals, or whether it's Republicans just as angry at Wall Street and bailouts as Progressives.
SANDERS: "Look, I think that's exactly right. Look, let's not dismiss the fact there's strong differences of opinion. Many Republicans are pro-life. I'm pro-choice. There are differences on guns. There are differences on gay marriage. But, you know, Republicans have to send their kids to college. Working class Republicans can't afford to do that. Working class Republicans have seen their factories shut down and moved to China. Working class Republicans are equally disgusted, about a campaign finances, which allows billionaires now to bay elections."
