W.H. Press Sec.: When Biden Took Office the Economy Was Tanking, Now We’re Transitioning Toward a Steady Growth

‘We were in a very dire situation’

EXCERPT:

JEAN-PIERRE: “If you look at all of the things that we were able to do, if the folks look at their household balance sheets, it is strengthened in a way because of what the president has done. So, there’s a lot here to speak to, and to lift up. And this is what’s important for us is to make sure that we continue to do the work. But right now we see the economy in a transition. We see the historic growth that we made. And right now we’re going to a transition to be more in a stable, steady growth and how -- that's how we believe we're going to be able to fight inflation.”
