ABC’s Dowd: Pope Francis’ Visit Signals ‘Beginning of the End of Donald Trump’

‘But what his contrast is, which is, I think, the beginning of the end of Donald Trump in the course of this election … the contrast between the Pope’s modesty, humility, compassion and Donald Trump’s emphasis on his narcissism, meanness, division’

DOWD: “The course of this last week was such a contrast, I think, from what we were seeing in the presidential campaign and what happened. I know we’re going to talk about the pope in the next section. But what his contrast is, which is, I think, the beginning of the end of Donald Trump in the course of this election. And I think you could put some of it on the Frances effect, which is the contrast between the pope’s modesty, humility, compassion and Donald Trump’s emphasis on his narcissism, meanness, division. And that contrast, I think, doesn’t bode well for him.”
