Capehart: Carly Fiorina ‘Looked Like a Credible Candidate for President’

‘She stood there, she looked like a credible candidate for president’

[excerpt]
BRZEZINSKI: "Jonathan Capehart, jump in."
CAPEHART: "So couple of -- so couple of things. I think one of the reasons why Carly Fiorina shot up in the polls is because, not only was she focused and determined in her answers, her answers were based in substance. Now, you can disagree with her positions on things, but she stood there and looked like a credible candidate for president who had answers to every question that was asked of her, not bluster or buffoonery, but actual answers. And when it comes to her record at Hewlett-Packard -- again I keep going back to that breakfast I went to in April, where she was hammered and hammered hard by the Washington press core about her tenure at Hewlett-Packard, and she gave us good as she got. She had answers for all of their questions. Now again, you may disagree with her characterization of her tenure at Hewlett-Packard, but if anyone thinks that they're going to knock her off her game, knock her off her stride by going after her -- her stormy, troubled tenure at Hewlett-Packard, they better think again."
