‘Morning Joe’: Hypocritical Clinton Started Obama-Muslim Rumors During 2008 Campaign

‘It all started with her and her campaign passing things around in the Democratic primary’

[excerpt]
SCARBOROUGH: “It was a stunning interview.”
BRZEZINSKI: “Maybe it will work for her.”
SCARBOROUGH: “I wasn’t going to say anything. It was brought up. It was a stunning interview. A stunning interview and textbook on a campaign operation completely boxing in. A Sunday morning shot.”
BRZEZINSKI: “So within that she was great on policy — I will just say it.”
SCARBOROUGH: “By the way, I guess there’s one other thing too. It was ridged this weekend. I guess we have to get our digs in on Hillary Clinton here. I thought we were going to get through a segment out without talking about her.”
BRZEZINSKI: “Well, she’s news.”
SCARBOROUGH: “But for Hillary Clinton to come out and criticize anybody for spreading the rumors about Barack Obama when it all started —“
BRZEZINSKI: “On 60 minutes.”
SCARBOROUGH: “— when it all started with her and her campaign passing things around in the Democratic primary. Rich, now listen —“
BRZEZINSKI: “He says he is —“
SCARBOROUGH: “The Republicans are wrong for doing what they’re doing. It started, this started with Hillary Clinton and it was spread by the Clinton team in 2008.”[crosstalk]
BRZEZINSKI: “We’re just telling the truth. Sorry. I really, I don’t even know. Harold, don’t, don’t —”
FORD: “Mika, you can’t tell me to stop when the two of you are making the comments. If any of you two — if there was a basis, an actual evidentiary basis for your comments I would agree with it.”
SCARBOROUGH: “The one that has spread in 2008.”
FORD: “Spread what in 2008?”
SCARBOROUGH: “That Barack Obama, Barack Obama may not be —“
RATNER: “We should ask Heileman this question because he is the official historian of the 2008 campaign.”
FORD: “I don’t recall that but if you’re telling me that was the case, I don’t recall.”
SCARBOROUGH: “John Heileman?”
HEILEMAN: “It was the case.”
SCARBOROUGH: “Thank you, John.”
HEILEMAN: “I’m affirming —“
BRZEZINSKI: “Didn’t she go on ‘60 Minutes’ and actually say ‘I have no reason to’ — What was that, Harold?”
HEILEMAN: “I’m affirming the — Scarbrough-Brzeinski assertion.”
FORD: “The CBS interview, was that rigged?
HEILEMAN: “I know nothing about that. I have no knowledge what happens between the campaign and John Dickerson.”
