CNN Legal Analyst: Snowden Is Intel Equivalent of a ‘Mass Murderer’ (Mediaite)

According to CNN legal analyst Paul Callan, NSA leaker Edward Snowden‘s actions constituted the intelligence community’s equivalent of a “mass murderer.”

The analogy came during a panel discussion on the potential for Snowden to receive amnesty from the United States. Noting how difficult the decision would be for the NSA, Callan told co-panelist Buck Sexton and host Brooke Baldwin that Snowden is “the functional equivalent in the intelligence community of a mass murderer in terms of criminal law.”

He explained further: “I say that because the amount of information that he has allegedly disclosed could make him the greatest traitor to the United States in American history.”
