Howard Dean Blames Media For Hillary Email Mess: Press Wanted Her To "Humble" Herself Before Them (RealClearPolitics)

On MSNBC Wednesday afternoon, former Democratic candidate for president and DNC chairman Howard Dean once again defended current presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her use of a private server. Dean also reacted to Clinton's mea culpa on ABC News Tuesday night, calling it the culmination of the media ganging up on her.

Dean says the media forced Clinton to "humble" herself before them, calling it "part of the game."

"This is a kabuki [theater]," Dean said on MSNBC. "I had to go through it. When the media wants to humble you, they do. And she was humbled and she did the right thing. But this is not about the e-mail server. There's no there there. This is about whether Hillary Clinton is going to show herself to the public as someone who's willing to be humble in front of them, and that was the whole gig and the media of course would like to put themselves in the kingmaker position, which they have done."
