CNN’s Smerconish: Is Kim Davis Like the American Version of the Taliban?

CNN's Mike Smerconish asks: Is Kim Davis like the Taliban? (Examiner) 

On Saturday, CNN anchor Mike Smerconish gave anti-Christian liberals a juicy helping of red meat when he asked if Kim Davis, the Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk currently in jail after refusing to violate her Christian beliefs to obey a judge's edict, is like the Taliban. Smerconish also made the comparison while speaking with Anthony Perkins of the Family Research Council.

"Is this woman in jail because she's being denied her religious freedom, or is she more like an American version of the Taliban?" he asked at the beginning of his program. He repeated the terrorist reference later in the program.

"It reminds me of that which we're fighting overseas," he told Perkins. Perkins educated Smerconish on the underpinnings of the law and expressed outrage that an American citizen would be in jail for her religious beliefs.
