Fiorina: ‘I Am Not Going to Shy Away from Donald Trump or Anyone Else’

VARNEY: “Are you going to start to attack Donald Trump forcefully?

FIORINA: “(Laughing) I think what I’m going to continue to do for some time now is introduce myself to the American people. You know, when I went into the Fox News debate, August 6th, less than 40 percent of Republican primary voters had ever heard my name. We’ve moved that up to about 50 percent. But still about half the folks in the country are going to be voting don't know who I am yet because I’m not a celebrity, I am not a professional politician and I haven't been doing this for a couple of years. So I need to introduce myself.”

VARNEY: “But a lot more people would know you if you attacked him.”

FIORINA: “Yes and no. Look, I don't shy away from jarring contrast between myself and other candidates as you well know. I don't shy away from criticizing anyone that I think is out of line or taking a position that I think is wrong or dangerous for this country. And so I’m not going to shy is away from Donald Trump or anyone else. But my goal in this next debate is to make sure that people understand who I am. And what I will do.”
