Todd: Sanders’ Surge ‘Looks Very Similar to the Rise of Barack Obama 8 Years Ago in Iowa’

‘Hillary Clinton’s numbers look weak in the general election’

DALY: “Chuck, let’s break down the other side. For the Democrats extracting some -- what we can figure out from this poll, you look at Hillary Clinton not great for her. Looks like she’s lost nearly a third of her supporters in Iowa since May; you see Bernie Sanders gained a little bit, only a seven-point deficit there. It was an assertive week for Hillary, last week. She was aggressive against Republicans, she’s also very apologetic over the personal use on the e-mail server thing. I mean, can she survive the scandal? Can she least slow it down?

TODD: “The good news for her in this poll, 61 percent of Iowa Democrats said the e-mail controversy was not an issue for them. So, this isn't an issue among Democrats. However, you do get the sense among Democratic elites that they're nervous that Hillary Clinton's numbers look weak in a general election. And that's why the chatter on Joe Biden isn't going away. I think you can't ignore this Bernie Sanders number here. This looks very familiar in the pollster herself said it in the Iowa poll -- it looks very similar to the rise of Barack Obama eight years ago in Iowa.”
