Brzezinski: DeSantis Opposing Mask Mandates Is Against ‘The Science’

‘He argues parents have the right to decide whether their children would wear masks in schools’

EXCERPT:

BRZEZINSKI: “Despite the record number of cases in Florida that you just heard us talking about, they are number one in the nation here, Governor DeSantis signed an executive order on Friday that blacks schools from issuing mask mandates. He argues that parents have the right to decide if their children wear coverings in school. At least two counties in the state had required students to cover their faces when they return to class next month. This new executive order overrules those requirements. Joining us now, State Attorney for Palm Beach County Dave Aronberg and White House Reporter for the 'Associated Press' Jonathan Lemire. Jonathan, I want to get to White House's point of view in just a moment but Dave Aronberg know what is going on in Florida? I know Governor Ron DeSantis supports the vaccine but this masking non-mandate, or whatever you want to call it, seems very counter to the science, and also we've had a governor who's been flouting Fauci, making fun, you know, of the top doctor in the United States. I -- I feel he’s sending a very mixed message to his constituents. At what point is the Florida government liable for what is happening in Florida when it’s so pronounced the difference in Covid cases and deaths so far?”
