Gordon Chang: China Just Looks at Us and Says ‘Let’s Kill More Americans’

‘What she should be talking about are costs that we’ll impose on China for killing Americans’

EXCERPT:

CHANG: "We should be calling China out for the things it is doing. So, for instance, sponsoring the fentanyl gangs that kill probably more than 50,000 Americans a year. We should be talking about how China deliberately spread the Coronavirus beyond its borders. That's 611,000 Americans who have succumbed to this disease. I can understand presidents say nice things about Xi Jinping, but the Chinese just look at us and they just laugh. You know, we have Wendy Sherman, the number two in the State Department, she's in Tianjin, China, talking to Wang Yi, the foreign minister, and she is trying to talk about guardrails — in other words, to make sure that China does not go beyond bounds and causes conflict. What she should be talking about are the costs that we will impose on China for killing Americans, for stealing intellectual property, for this and that. And we do not have a political class that is willing to defend the United States, and China just looks at that and says, 'Oh, yeah, let’s kill some more Americans.'"
