On the beginning of Wendesday’s episode of The View, Whoopi Goldberg addressed the controversial statement Kelly Osbourne made said that Donald Trump would have no one left to clean his toilets if he kicked Mexicans out of the country.

Osbourne took to Facebook to apologize soon after the incident, and Goldberg defended her by saying that she misspoke while trying to make a point about Trump’s immigration stance.

“One of the things that happens on live television is you’re trying to get your point in and you sometimes step in dog doo,” Goldberg said. “It does not make you a racist.”
