MSNBC: New Book Claims Trump Family Members Got Inappropriately Close to Secret Service Agents

LEONNIG: “So I know about this because people who were agents working on the Trump family detail remember very large family, grandchildren, spouses, grown children and of course, the second lady. There were growing concerns about two particular people, Tiffany Trump, the President’s daughter, appeared to be getting very close to her detail leader and they were wondering why they were spending so much time separate and alone from the other agents. Tiffany, through a spokesperson, Tiffany Trump said that there was nothing inappropriate about their relationship. However, Vanessa Trump was also reported by other agents to be dating a Secret Service agent on the family detail. She, through a spokesperson, has declined to comment on this. Again, I know a lot of people think this is salacious, but ultimately the agents reported it to their colleagues and to me because they were concerned about those personal relationships that can get in the way of good security decisions.”
