BLUMENTHAL: "The Democrats I think will be unified, but the question really is what will Republicans do when they are put on the record, because they’re going to be held accountable and these nightmarish massacres are only a ten or a fraction of the deaths, hundred of deaths that occur every day in communities all around the country and in Hartford or elsewhere, my colleagues will have to answer to their constituents and these deaths are stunning, savage, shocking, but tragically predictable, unsurprising because Congress has been complicit and there is a moral imperative as well as a political dynamic here."
