Entrapment is a defense to a crime, it's typically not a tort or a reason to bring a lawsuit, but certainly as these criminal cases against the rioters line their way through the system, I suspect that we will also see a number of civil lawsuits, not so much from the insurrectionists, but from the victims, including the families of police officers and other people who were inadvertently swept up in this madness."
