Julián Castro: On Day One Biden Will Rejoin Paris Climate Accord, End Muslim Travel Ban

‘He’s going to put 11 million undocumented immigrants on a pathway to citizenship’

EXCERPT:

CASTRO: “They’ve put on the table an ambitious agenda for Covid-19 relief, for making sure that we get that vaccine distributed effectively, which it has not been distributed effectively up to now, but Joe Biden is putting that into the hands of people who are experienced and know how to get this done. On top of that, I’m very happy to see that on day one he’s going to get back into the Paris climate accord, he’s going to end that Muslim travel ban, he’s going to put 11 million undocumented immigrants on a pathway to citizenship. He’s going to ensure that we regain the trust and respect of so many countries around the world, our allies that we need to work with for the safety of our nation and of this world. So right away, he has an ambitious agenda to make sure that Americans are healthy, that they are economically okay, that we put people back to work, and that we tackle the biggest challenges we have in front of us, whether it’s climate change, or immigration, or a number of other issues. He’s seizing the moment, as he should."
