Joe Scarborough: Trump’s Tax Cuts and Deregulation Hurt ‘Working Class Americans’ Hardest

‘Working class Americans ... continue to get the short end of the stick’

TRANSCRIPT:

SCARBOROUGH: “I just wanted to follow up on what you said. You’re exactly right. The very people who were most disadvantaged by the Trump tax cuts were working class Americans. They're the ones that got screwed by those tax cuts, by deregulation, by all the things that were helping the richest people in the world. A lot of those working class Americans pay more in taxes — think about this — after the Trump tax cuts than Amazon. Let me say that again. A lot of those working class Americans who got screwed by Donald Trump's economic policies, screwed by his tax cuts, screwed by his deregulation, screwed by everything that he did to help the richest, wealthiest Americans, and then of course he'd go down to Mar-a-Lago and was quoted as saying to all of his billionaire friends there, 'I just made all of you a lot richer tonight, you should love me.' It's working class Americans who continue to get the short end of the stick.”
