Geraldo Rivera Blasts Media Over Hunter Biden Coverage, Warns That — on Some Networks — ‘Hard News Programs Are Also Opinion’

RIVERA: "Not justified by the facts. I think of Ali Velshi, a good reporter, I like him, he's a good guy, reporting with a straight face right to camera that the riots were mostly peaceful, as the buildings were actually burning behind him. I mean, just turn around. Hey, the buildings are burning. This must be a riot. Or that the Defund the Police movement is really just to curb police brutality, it’s not ideological. Most reporters — face it, most reporters are liberal Democrats. It doesn’t make them bad people, but I think that the label perhaps should be changed. Here on The Five, we are gloriously and encouraged to be opinionated. But I think that what is disguised often is that the hard news programs are also opinion programs in the guise of public service. It’s entertainment in its own way. The fact that they are so slanted. And it’s so clear to everyone, it should be so clear to everyone, to take it with a grain of salt.”
