NANCE: "I think the President lives in a bubble in which information that would come from a U.S. Attorney to the Department of Justice, unless it’s brought to him specifically by Bill Barr, it doesn’t function in there. The information doesn’t flow up to him because he doesn’t care about it. He only sees Gretchen Whitmer as this character for a state that he must win. So for law enforcement to come and brief him that there was a plot to kidnap her, perhaps he wasn’t aware but this has been taking place for months. You know, you would think a plot to kidnap one of the 50 governors in the United States would be a national security crisis inside the Oval Office.”
