Fox News: Trump’s List of SCOTUS Nominees Down to Five, Will Have 37 Days to Get Pick Through

‘The nominee will be a woman and he plans to announce his pick on Friday or Saturday’

EXCERPT:

ROBERTS: "So who are the people that the President has been talking about? According to sources, the list is: Judge Amy Coney Barrett of the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. I know it's not nice to talk about a lady's age, but she is 48 years old. Judge Barbara Lagoa of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, she's 52. And Judge Allison Rushing of the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is just 38, but I understand that she has got a tremendous amount of support from the evangelical community. She herself is an evangelical. She is considered a rising star in the judiciary, and evangelicals would prefer that the nominee be Allison Rushing. So we’ll see how that changes the equation. Does the President have the time? Well, if you go back to 1975, Justice John Paul Stevens was confirmed in 19 days. In 2005, Chief Justice John Roberts was confirmed in 24 days, Justice Sandra Day O’Connor in 33 days in 1981, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 42 days in 1993. The President will have about 37 days to get his pick through."
