YORK: “The important thing to remember here is that the Democratic Party has moved left in the last several years. This is not the same Democratic Party that elected Joe Biden and Barack Obama in 2008. And it's certainly not the Democratic Party that Joe Biden belonged to when he first was elected to the Senate and joined in 1973, 47 years ago. So it's a very different party. Now remember -- if you remember the giant Democratic primary field Biden was thought to be from the moderate wing. But if he is elected, he will face as you just saw from Bernie Sanders, a lot of pressure from the Progressive wing on issues like Medicare for All, on raising taxes, on the Green New Deal, on defunding the police, and right now he is just trying to keep everybody happy so he can get elected.”
