PAYNE: “They're asking about how afraid are we because the unemployment, the initial jobless claims ticked up a notch, after going down 12 consecutive weeks in a row, it ticked up a little bit. Listen, these numbers ebb and flow, they go up and down. The focus is never going to be in these press conferences on the pluses, which is a shame because what this country needs right now more than anything else is to appreciate that we are heading in the right direction. Every single American needs to have a glimmer of hope, a glimmer of hope that they can get their lives back and that includes everyone. So when I see these reports, and I saw it over and over and over again, that somehow blacks didn’t get jobs. Well, they got 404,000 last month, I'm proud of that, it's a record number, 7.3 million Americans in the last two months got jobs without a mandatory mask from the federal government.”
