Judge Nap: Where Was Gov. Cuomo When Thousands of People Were Marching in the Street?
EXCERPT:
NAPOLITANO: “Well, I could not agree with you more. I mean, the governor is showing a dictatorial side to him. ‘Too many of you are too close together in too small space, I’m now going to punish you for it.’ That’s not what we elect governors for. Where was he when thousands of people were marching in the street over the death of George Floyd and then it manifested itself into anger about police and anger about government in general? So he — he wasn’t threatening to shut down the city then, but now he’s threatening to shut down the city because a bunch of kids sat a little too close to each other at a table at a restaurant, which blocked its name from public view, on West Broadway. Why doesn’t he just let people do what they want to do and take the chances that they want to take? Enough is enough, Governor Cuomo.”
