Sen. Rick Scott: ‘I Don’t Want To Bail out Liberal States that Don’t Watch Their Budgets’

‘It’s real simple to me’

SCOTT: "$500 billion in short-term loans, $45 billion in FEMA, $30 billion education, $34 billion mass transit, $270 billion dollars, and on top of that, remember, we did $30 billion dollars for — $50 billion for Medicaid. And then on indirect, is all these other things that are going to help our states. And so, I don't want to bail out liberal states that don't want to watch their budgets. It's real simple. It's not fair. It's not fair to my taxpayers. People moved to my state to get away from high taxes in New York, Illinois, California, now they want us to — they don't want to tax their citizens, they want us to tax federal taxpayers. That's not right."
