Phil Murphy: The Curves Are Getting Better for Us

MURPHY: “And the curves as you all mentioned have begun slowly but surely, even though the fatalities literally yesterday over 300 new fatalities of blessed souls. The curves on hospitalizations are the one that had begun to get better for us. When you have add the mental health challenges that you and your colleagues were discussing in the last episode, we said, you know what? Let’s open them up this weekend but let’s make sure everybody plays ball. So this is a real test case for us. You know, golfing at distance, no more than one person in the cart. Lots of other golf protocols in the state park. No team sports. Social distancing. I would love to you wear a face covering. But let’s allow folks to take a little steam out of this but at the same time be responsible. If this weekend goes well, the weather is going to be good here that hopefully could portend to other steps that we could take not too far down the road.”
