DOWD: "Well, it’s amazing to me because if you looked at the span of the field and you tried to pick up from each candidate the most fundamental question they’d have to answer, this would be the most fundamental question Jeb Bush would have to answer, on all the questions he’d have to answer, it’s as if you were asking why are you running in this race; it’s important the question is that he made a mistake; I think he misheard it. But then the handling of it and the aftermath I think it’s a real vulnerability. He still hasn’t come to terms with. He’s a candidate that everybody thought was the dominant candidate in this race.
