‘Think how wonderful that [2008] primary was; two all-stars, two people that will be in the political hall of fame no matter what happens’

DIAZ-BALART: "Let's talk a little bit about 2016, a little bit more. You told my colleague Chuck Todd in 2008 -- sorry, the 2008 primary between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama was, "An extremely healthy process," you even called it wonderful. REID: "Think how wonderful that primary was. Two all-stars, two people that will be in the political hall of fame no matter what happens in the future and they were involved in a primary. Right now we have Hillary Clinton and that's it. There's not another Barack Obama out there. There are no all-stars out there. She has a clear field, and I'm glad she does."
DIAZ-BALART: "So, Sanders and maybe other former governors, et cetera, you don't think that's going to be really a --"
REID: "Well, I love Bernie Sanders, great guy, I've served with him here, and he's in the race. He'll -- he develops conversation, that doesn't hurt Hillary at all."
