Klobuchar on Expanding Voting By Mail: People Shouldn’t Have To Choose Between Their Health and Their Vote

‘We think seniors, veterans should be able to vote and not stay home’

EXCERPT:

KLOBUCHAR: “We still will have polls, but we want to make sure people that work there aren’t vulnerable to getting the virus if it is still out there in force. We must go forward with election. We can’t can cancel our democracy just because this administration held up those tests when they should have been developing them and getting the emergency equipment out there. I just think we can’t let that happen. And one of the most amazing things about this is you’ve got Republican Secretary of State joining forces with Democratic secretaries of states across the country saying, 'Yes, we want to expand voting by mail. We don’t think people should have to choose between their health and their vote.' We think seniors, veterans should be able to vote and not stay home."
