Gillibrand on the $2.5T Coronavirus ‘Stimulus’: ‘Very Helpful, but It’s Just the First Step’

‘This is going to be a very long-term crisis’

EXCERPT:

GILLIBRAND: "Correct. This bill is very helpful, but it’s just the first step. This is going to be a very long-term crisis. It’s going to take months and months to get out of it. And frankly, I don’t think our economy is going to return to where it was for a long time, more than months, perhaps years. And so the truth is, our job is to do triage. Right now we needed to get real dollars into the hands of real people. That’s why the unemployment insurance is so generous.”
