CLARK: “So I’m going to be clear. That you have corrected the record. When you said to me that you as secretary of education would ensure that this program would only go to schools with nondiscrimination policies, that is no longer your stance, this is a state’s choice that you — you will not do that as secretary of education?”
DeVOS: “Ma’am, may I suggest that you’re mixing up and you’re not staying clear on the purpose of the program —”
CLARK: “I am perfectly —“
DeVOS: “— which is to help students get a great education. In a place that fits for that.”
CLARK: “Your inability to say that you would stand up for kids is appalling and you really should resign.”
