BROWN: “I know what Republican senators say privately. They tell me this president doesn’t tell the truth. They were very concerned about the Ukraine call, what led up to it, the call itself and the cover up afterwards. And because of their fear, their fear that the president would turn on them they said things like we know he’ll get better. Impeachment is a serious thing and the president will get better. Of course he wasn’t. They know his character.”
