Activist: Women Save Less Because They Earn Less, and Wall St. Is ‘by Men for Men’

‘We save less than men because we make less than men’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:
BARNICLE: "One of the elements, Sallie of this, is that women save less than men is that because women make less so their social security check is less?"
KRAWCHECK: "Yes we save less than men because we make less than men. We tend to more than men move in and out of the workforce for family care. The other thing, too, we keep more of our money in the bank. Wall Street, we might as well admit, is sort of by men for men and women do this and leave their money in the bank rather than investing in the stock market and feel the negative impact of that."
BRZEZINSKI: "And what do you think in terms of the candidates we're looking at. How is Hillary Clinton on these issues?"
KRAWCHECK: "Well, it remains to be seen what policy prescription she's going to come out with. But this has clearly been an important plank for her in the past and if it can be positioned, because it is, as something which is helpful for the entire economy, not just for one part of it, a very big part of it, women, then I think it's got to be a winner."
