Halperin: No Doubt People Gave to the Clinton Foundation to Curry Favor

‘The question is, did she do anything as secretary of State to help those people’

SCARBOROUGH: “Here is some of the facts. Ex-president earned about $48 million between -- in speeches -- between '09 and '13. More than half of the $48 million was paid by companies in China, Japan, Canada, Russia, Saudi Arabia, etc., the Cayman Islands, and the author's right said of the 13 Clinton speeches that fetched 500 thousands or more only two occurred during the years that his wife was not secretary of state. Not secretary of state. Bill Clinton believed to be the richest living ex-president. Most estimates put their net worth between $100 million and $200 million.”
HALPERIN: “I have no doubt in my mind that some people who gave to the foundation or hired him to give speeches did it in order to curry favor with the Clintons.”
SCARBOROUGH: “Oh, no doubt.”
HALPERIN: “No doubt. The question is did she do anything as secretary of state to help those people. There are some instances in which she seemed to switch her position to more favorable position for those people, but we don't know the what the reason was.”
