Media Run After Hillary’s Van upon Her Arrival at Community College

‘You can see the media running behind me here to chase the Scooby van’

RUSH TRANSCRIPT:
SEITZ-WALD: "Right, Thomas, we're expecting Hillary Clinton any minute now here and this is the entire campus of community college behind me, looking around all I see are fields and grain elevator. This whole town, very off the beaten track for the typical campaign trail in Des Moines, not in aims, very far northeast Iowa. And at the event, she's going to have the roundtable with about seven students and educators and it's going to be in what is essentially an auto shop where they train people to be mechanics and residents will be in the room and it will last about an hour. They'll have a chance to ask her questions and it's entirely invitation only. The campaign worked with the college to find these students and these educators as a chance to talk with them. This event today and event tomorrow are really opportunities to give something to cover while she does these kids of other smaller events. She's coming in right now. We can see her motorcade approaching right now. They are turning the corner and looks like they are about to head down -- we see the scooby van, the famous scooby van coming down the road right now towards our setup."
ROBERTS: "Where is she expected to walk in?"
SEITZ-WALD: "We believe she's going to come in behind us unless she comes in the back. But the main entrance to this building is just over my left shoulder here. And the scooby van is coming up right here right behind our camera. Here it is. There she goes. And secret service following behind her. They are going around to the back, we're not -- you can see the media running behind me here to chase the scooby van."
ROBERTS: "Wow."
SEITZ-WALD: "She's going around to the back."
ROBERTS: "Wow."
SEITZ-WALD: "We'll see her very soon."
ROBERTS: "Guy in the Orange pants is pretty quick. I'm looking at these people -- Wow, Orange pants, he's really outnumbered now by all of the people racing around the back. I'm glad you have not taken off from your live shot and remain with me. But that was the intended area where she was supposed to go in in the back?
SEITZ-WALD: "Well, the campaign didn't tell us exactly where she would come in. They wanted to avoid the kind of situation we're having right now. She did not go in the front entrance. She went in the back entrance. You can access directly the room where she's going to do the event. You can access that from the back there. So she avoided the media to go around to the back and go right in and slip into the room where she's going to meet with those students and educators."
