Chris Wallace Warns that Trump, Schiff, and Biden Could All Have to Testify in Senate Trial: ‘A Dangerous Road’

‘The Republicans would get the opportunity to call people like Hunter Biden and Adam Schiff, and the whistleblower’

EXCERPT:

WALLACE: “I just want to get to one of the points that was made earlier in Kristin Fisher’s report about the idea of a fulsome Senate trial and the Republicans would get the opportunity to call people like Hunter Biden and Adam Schiff and the whistleblower. All of that is true. On the other hand the Democrats would then get to call people who have not testified and refused to testify like Mike Pompeo, Mick Mulvaney, John Bolton, and even potentially the president of the United States. So that’s a dangerous road for both sides. I remember back in 1999 when they held the Senate trial on Bill Clinton there was a lot of talk at the beginning well, we’re going to call Monica Lewinsky and we're going to have her testify, and that, of course, will be terribly damaging to the president. And in the end the Republicans in the Senate later decided that, you know, this kind of is mutually assured destruction. We could both be in trouble here and they didn’t call any witnesses."
