Sherrod Brown on Medicare for All: ‘I Don’t Want to Destroy the ObamaCare’

BROWN: “Well, ultimately, I think they’ve got to come to a place — I don’t want to destroy the ObamaCare, the Affordable Care Act and start again, I want to build on it. And I think the strongest message and the way we govern come 2021 is to build on the Affordable Care Act, build on ObamaCare, strengthen consumer protections for pre-existing conditions, as I said allow people to choose to buy into Medicare at 50 or 55, negotiate drug prices directly the way we do at the V.A. That’s the way to build on this.”
