Blitzer: ‘When Will the Formal Televised Hearings Begin?’

‘Phil, any sense when these formal televised hearings will begin?’

EXCERPT:

BLITZER: "Here's the question. When will the formal televised hearings begin?"
MATTINGLY: "It's still not set in stone yet. We expect it another couple of weeks. Look, next week, even though the House of Representatives is out of session, there are already closed depositions that are scheduled. There are also already big outstanding invitations, people like Ambassador John Bolton who said he will not come in without a subpoena, he likely won’t come in until a lawsuit that one of his lawyers representing and individual that his lawyer is representing who has also been asked to come in, is adjudicated up to this point. But also people from the White House Counsel's Office, Deputy Council for National Security Committee who has been a key player who has popped up repeatedly over the course of the closed-door testimony in terms of an individual who was brought information and concerns from people inside the White House that have testified up to this point. Those will be closed-door depositions. They might not all show up, but some of them will show up. They’re scheduled throughout the course of next week even though the House of Representatives is out of session. There’s a possibility that the week after, space starts to open up for those public hearings.”
