PERRY: "I'm back with you, Bill. We’re back on with audio now."
HEMMER: "Did his comments make things better or worse yesterday?"
PERRY: "I think he was straight up with -- with what he said. I think there are people —"
HEMMER: "Straight up how?" [crosstalk]
PERRY: "-- trying to connect dots -- by basically saying that there was no quid pro quo in the sense of what those folks out there would like for it to be. That we’re not going to give you this money unless you go investigate Joe Biden and his son. I never heard that said anywhere any time in any conversation, Bill.”
