Judge Nap on on Arrested Rudy Associates: ‘I Think There Were Wiretaps’

‘The reason I believe there were wiretaps is because there are quotations of conversations in there between these two’

EXCERPT:

NAPOLITANO: "Well, this is brand-new. There’s a couple of unusual aspects to it. There are references to human beings in the indictment who are not named. Congressman 1. Our own Catherine Herridge reports it's former congressman Pete Sessions from Texas, he said he doesn’t know if it’s him. The indictment says that these illegal schemes, basically laundering money, foreign money, and getting it into political campaigns were kept from Congressman 1. There are also references to conspirators in there, known and unknown, but not named by the grand jury. And Neil, I think there were wiretaps. The reason I believe there were wiretaps is because there are quotations of conversations in there between these two that it would be nearly impossible for the government to have unless they were wiretapping."
