Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer: Jen Psaki Was ‘Totally Insane’ in Her Defense of Bergdahl Swap

‘There were other options. Miss Psaki is totally insane, and by the way, the White House knew all this before they made the decision to trade Bergdahl’

MACCALLUM: 'What do you make of the reaction from the White House? Jen Psaki said, no, this is our policy, we do not leave anyone behind, which I think, you know, a lot of people could say, OK, bring him back; find out what happened; did he dessert. But not necessarily this way."
SHAFFER: "There were better options to bring him back under the radar which would not have received this level of noteriety. Look, I feel sorry for Bergdahl in a way, because this could have been dealt with and I don't think he would have probably be facing this level of severe charge had it been dealt with normally. So I feel sorry for him having been made a pawn in this larger game of political games mission by the president. So I think at this point in time it is important to recognize that he did bad things but the things the president did to bring him back, there were other options. Miss. Psaki is totally insane. And by the way, the White House knew all this before they made the decision to trade Bergdahl for the five Taliban."
