‘Tonight, Elizabeth Warren said she opposes the death penalty’


FISHER: “Shannon, the White House wants to expedite the death penalty for people who are found guilty of committing these kinds of mass shootings. And today, the vice president’s Chief of Staff that the department of justice has drafted legislation that would do just that. Of the plans to do that in a larger gun-control practice that will be sent to Congress after lawmakers return from their August recess one week from today. But already the idea of speeding up spot capital punishment or mass killers is being shot down on the campaign trail. Tonight, Elizabeth Warren said she opposes the death penalty. And Joe Biden says the proposal has “Nothing to do with rational gun policy.”
