David Brooks Praises Elizabeth Warren: ‘I Find Her Very Warm,’ ‘She’s a Strong Candidate’

‘I’m now looking at the race and I’m thinking, it could well be Elizabeth Warren’

EXCERPT:

BROOKS: “I’m now looking at the race and I’m thinking, it could well be Elizabeth Warren. [Applause] And I must say, I don’t know her well and — but I spend some time with her and I’ve never get the likability charge. Find her very warm. Like law professors, granted, but I — and if you looked at what she has done, over the last three or four months, she has steadily climbed up the ranks and now has a higher favability rating than any other democratic and taking 45,000 selfies. That’s retail Politics. And so I am sort of very — when you’re covering a campaign like this, you’re like a scout, scouting a baseball pitcher, who has good stuff? And I would say in substance I don’t agree with that but just as a candidate I think she is a strong candidate.”
