MSNBC: Trump Offers Pardons to Aides Who Will Seize Land and Fast-Track Wall Before Election

‘He says he would pardon them if they have to break any laws to get a border wall built for the next presidential election’

EXCERPT:

SCARBOROUGH: “Donald Trump actually is reportedly telling officials in his administration to seize land."
BRZEZINSKI: "Oh, my God."
SCARBOROUGH: "To seize land. And if it is against the law, he will pardon them. Tell us about that story."
BRZEZINSKI: "Well, he says he would pardon them if they have to break any laws to get a border wall built for the next presidential election. He’ll just pardon them. This is the problem with having a shady real estate developer as president. He wants to buy everything or get rid of everything. He just wants it done. Officials involved in the border wall project tell 'The Washington Post' that Trump has directed aides to fast-track billions of dollars worth of construction contracts, aggressively seize private land, and disregard environmental rules. Trump has promised to complete 500 miles of fencing by November of 2020, which has stirred chants of 'Finish the wall' at his political rallies. So far, only 60 miles of replacement wall has been built since he stepped into office. The President has told senior aides that a failure to deliver on this promise of his 2016 campaign would be a letdown to his supporters and an embarrassing defeat. His little fence."
