Robinson: The World Just Got To Witness Trump’s ‘Neuroses,’ His Inadequacies, and His Stunning Ignorance

‘Donald Trump getting in front of a microphone and telling lie after lie’

ROBINSON: “Yeah. You know, in that 68 minute, you know, tour de non-force, I don’t know what you call it, that bizarre appearance yesterday, the whole world got to see what we’re now pretty accustomed to seeing, actually, Donald Trump getting in front of a microphone and telling lie after lie, winging it, showing his obsessions, his neuroses, his resentments, his insecurities, his inadequacies and his stunning ignorance. We’ve seen it a lot. The world got to witness just who was in charge of the United States and its economy, it’s military, this great world power that now, as everybody has been saying, is essentially on the sidelines. For the United States to be basically ineffective, ineffectual and just as well not there in a meeting of the G7 is just a stunning, stunning thing. Yet, we can expect nothing different as long as Donald Trump is president, I think. And the other leaders consider themselves fortunate that there was no sort of disaster at this meeting and their whole attitude just seemed to be, ‘Let’s get through this, let’s get done with it. We’ll get on with our business and we’ll do the best we can.’ And as Richard said, there’s a limited amount they can do without the United States but that’s how they’ll have to proceed right now.”
