Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown Won’t Meet with Trump in Dayton: ‘I Don’t Know What the President’s Doing There’

‘I don’t have any interest because of what he’s done on this, total unwillingness to address the issue of guns, his racist rhetoric’

EXCERPT:

BROWN: "I will not be there with him. I don't have any interest because of what he's done on this, total unwillingness to address the issue of guns, his racist rhetoric. I don’t know what he’s going to say and do there. I mean -- I welcome him to the state in some sense, but not about this. And I mean I saw the governor. I was -- I was there all days, most of the day [indecipherable] and I were. The governor came back Sunday night to speak at a vigil. And they started chanting do something, do something because our governor in our legislature in Ohio and our Senate in Washington and our president in Washington have by and large been in the pockets of the NRA and they haven't done anything on gun safety. So I don't -- I -- I don't know what the president's doing there.”
