SANDERS: "You know, Hallie, I think a lot of people that are coming into this debate perhaps looking for their t-shirt moment, if you will. Vice President Biden has a record on civil rights in this country. Senator Cory Booker knows that, but more importantly, the American people know that. They know Joe Biden. They know who he is. So, he released a criminal justice reform plan last week that is centered about putting the term 'justice' back into criminal justice, and we're proud of that plan. The Vice President Biden has been talking about that not only on the campaign trail but since he was a United States senator. But --and in that plan there's also a number of things that he worked on when he was vice president alongside President Obama. The Obama administration commuted more sentences than all of the 13 -- than 13 past presidents combined.”
