Fmr. GOP Rep. David Jolly: Trump Started His Racist Attacks ‘48 Hours After Jeffrey Epstein Was Taken into Custody’

‘Donald Trump is panicking’

EXCERPT:

JOLLY: "But you can’t miss the moral failing first. And then you talk about how do we empower communities of color through early childhood education, through criminal justice reform, through increasing home ownership among communities of color? All those policies Democrats are very strong on. As to the polls, look. Donald Trump is panicking. That's what we're seeing. And we cannot look past the fact all of these attacks, 48 hours after Jeffrey Epstein was taken into custody, he started this race narrative. He started with The Squad. It worked. He moved to Cummings. The reason he is panicking, if not to do with Epstein, is this. For 2020 he has to precisely replicate what happened in 2016. There is no other pathway to the White House. He has to narrowly win these four or five states by turning out the white grievance populist platform voters. And the only way he can do that is through this. Because what we saw in 2018 is the policies of Republicans on immigration, on taxes, on health care. None of that works. They got trounced in 2018."
